3540 El Ricon Way Drainage Project

Background

The project will repair the deteriorated storm drain system on El Ricon Way from Watt Avenue to El Tejon Way. We are coordinating this project with the Sacramento County Water Agency water main and meter project currently in construction in this area. We are fast-tracking the project to ensure the work is completed before the planned street overlay work on El Ricon Way.

Project Description

The project will remove and replace the deteriorated pipe and upgrade five drain inlets. The work will occur in the street replacing the pipe and inlets in the same location as they currently exist. We estimate construction will take four weeks with work hours of 8am-3:30pm.   Residents should expect construction noise and traffic impacts during the project.

Quality Control

County Construction Management and Inspection Division will manage the field work and inspections for the project.  A construction inspector will be onsite daily to resolve most field issues and ensure the work meets the design plans and specifications. Eyad Almasri will be the Resident Engineer overseeing construction and handling major field issues.

Project Schedule

  • Begin construction – Mid-October 2024
  • End construction – Mid-November 2024

All dates are tentative and subject to change
