6550 Landis Avenue Drainage Project

Background

The project will replace an 8” metal roadway culvert and overland flow path behind residential properties with a new piped system in the street right-of-way and easement in a private driveway.  We are fast tracking the project to minimize impacts residents are currently experiencing. We are

also teaming up with the County of Sacramento Department of Transportation on the design and funding of this project.

Project Description

The project will repair the existing system by installing new pipe, manholes, and inlets (see attached newsletter map). We estimate construction will take four weeks with work hours of 8am-3:30pm. The contractor will stage equipment on Landis Avenue and the private driveway during the day. Residents should expect construction noise and traffic impacts during the project.

Quality Control

County Construction Management and Inspection Division will manage the field work and inspections for the project. David Phillips will be the construction inspector. He will resolve most field issues and ensure the work meets the design plans and specifications. Eyad Almasri will be the Resident Engineer overseeing construction and handling major field issues.
