Jobs - Associate Civil Engineer – (Asset Management Section) ​

​The Sacramento County Water Agency (SCWA) is seeking an Associate Civil Engineer to join our Asset Management Section. This role is responsible for a variety of civil engineering tasks focused on effective management, maintenance, and optimization of water infrastructure assets including wells, treatment facilities, tanks, and distribution systems. Tasks include being a project lead on asset-related initiatives, keeping track of water systems components for repairs and predicting future problems, coordinate with internal and external teams to adhere to safety and environmental regulations, write reports, apply for grants, present project updates, assist with construction, and lead a small group of engineers and/or paraprofessional staff.​

An ideal candidate will have the knowledge of managing assets and budgets, analyzing data and risks, applying environmental and safety codes, create plans and cost estimates, ability to communicate with people with diverse backgrounds, and manage emergencies under high pressure.

The position involves developing asset management strategies, conducting assessments, and ensuring the long-term reliability and sustainability of SCWA's infrastructure. As part of the SCWA, you will contribute to serving nearly 66,000 customers across Sacramento County by supporting the water supply systems.
