Sacramento City/County Drainage Manual Volume 2: Hydrology Standards

The Sacramento City/County Drainage Manual outlines the approved methodologies for estimating surface water runoff peak flows and volumes used in the analysis and design of drainage facilities within both the City and County of Sacramento.

The Sacramento County Hydrologic Calculator (SacCalc) computes design flows in accordance with Sacramento County Hydrology standards. It replaces the legacy DOS based SACPRE program, which previously generated input files for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ HEC 1 model. SacCalc is a Windows based application that offers a graphical interface for watershed layout and design storm selection. It also produces Nolte flows used in storm drain design throughout Sacramento County.
