Local Hazard Mitigation Plan Update 2026 Public Draft

Sacramento County, 7 incorporated communities, and 24 special districts prepared this 2026 Sacramento County Multi-Jurisdictional Local Hazard Mitigation Plan Update (hereinafter referred to as LHMP or LHMP Update) to the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) approved 2021 Sacramento County LHMP.

The purpose of this 2026 Sacramento County LHMP Update and the hazard mitigation planning process is to reduce or eliminate long-term risk to people and property, critical facilities and infrastructure, natural and historic and cultural resources, and other community assets from future hazard events and natural disasters.
