Storm Ready

Laguna Creek CLOMR

The County of Sacramento Department of Water Resources, hereby gives notice of the intent to revise the flood hazard information located between CCTC Railroad (about three-quarter of a mile downstream of Vineyard Road) and Jackson Highway 16. The flood hazard revisions are being proposed as part of a Conditional Letter of Map Revision (CLOMR) Case No. 20-09-01629R for a proposed flood improvement project along Laguna Creek.  The project is proposing to construct off-line detention basins at the Triangle Rock mining facility and Southgate Soccer Field sites. Once the project has been completed, a Letter of Map Revision (LOMR) request should be submitted that will, in part, revise the following flood hazards along Laguna Creek.  The FEMA published Base Flood Elevations (BFEs) will generally decrease along Laguna Creek between the CCTC Railroad and Jackson Highway 16 due the construction of flood detention basins and a reduction in 100-year flows.

Maps and detailed analysis of the proposed flood hazard revisions can be reviewed at the County of Sacramento Department of Water Resources at 827 7th Street, Room 401, Sacramento, CA 95814. If you have any questions or concerns about the proposed project or its effect on your property, you may contact Michael Johnson of the Sacramento County Department of Water Resources at johnsonm@saccounty.net or (916) 874-8646 from 8am to 4pm Monday through Friday, excluding holidays.

Please let us know the address for the new webpage as soon as possible as we intend to include it in a notification letter we are sending to the affected property owners.
